The Solution
Protegrity’s data security experts collaborated to modernize data ingestion, ensuring compliance with stringent mandates while maintaining scale and performance.
The customer deployed three Lambda functions, provided by Protegrity, integrated with Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and a REST API. This setup ensured that only Athena and Redshift could generate the payload with user identity and invoke the Lambdas.
Consequently, the customer securely migrated a significant volume of data to the cloud, overcoming previous limitations.

By coupling the architectures, project costs are now aligned by consumption. They can now perform advanced auditing, monitoring, and internal chargeback. Auditing traces account ID, user, number of records, and operation type of each request. Monitoring tracks cold starts, throttling, concurrent executions, and errors, providing a comprehensive system health report.
The chargeback model distributes costs based on billed duration, provisioned concurrency, and request count, ensuring fair cost allocation across tenants.
